Graphics: The graphics in this game are simply astounding. The hi-res mode (640x480) available with the expansion pack is amazing. This is possibly the best looking game available on the system. However, there are still some problems. The fog, although much improved from the original Turok, is still present in a fairly large amount that is rather annoying. I also felt that the frame rate in this game is a bit on the low side.

Sound: Good sound. From Adon's annoying long speeches to Turok shouting, "I am Turok!" it's fine. The music is also done well. It adds to the atmosphere of the game.

Gameplay: The single-player mode in Turok 2 leaves something to be desired. The 6 levels are extremely large, and can cause some problems. Although Iguana promised more save points more often, there is still a seemingly great distance between them. It's not unusual to play for hours at a time just to find a save point. Save points aren't the only things you'll be looking for in this game. I found myself to be searching for things as often as I was shooting. If you miss one thing, you may find yourself stuck for hours. However, there are some deserving qualities about the single-player mode. The enemy AI (artificial intelligence) is exemplary. Also, the weapons are fantastic. From the talon to the nuke and everything in between, all the weapons are fantastic. The multi-player mode is, in my opinion, the best part of this game. There are 3 modes: Blood lust, Team blood, and Frag tag. Frag tag is where one player is randomly selected as the monkey, and that player must change himself or herself back to normal by reaching a portal-type thing, and they can't use weapons while a monkey. There are also many characters to choose from, including a raptor. The weapons are also great in multi-player. The cerebral bore is an incredibly fun weapon to use.

Satisfaction: You should rent this game first. If you like what you see in the single-player mode, you should buy it. You'll definitely like the multi-player mode.

Bottom Line: If you plan on buying this game solely for the single-player mode, you should rent it first. If you're looking for good multi-player, this is an excellent choice.
