PSX 2? A threat?

Now that the PSX 2 specs have been released to the public, what is Nintendo going to do during the time the Sony launches their next-generation console?

We all know that the next-generation console of Nintendo will be better than what Sony and Sega has to offer, but, between that little gap from the PSX 2 launch, how will they stay number one? Well, I think that week-by-week Nintendo will release some new specs to the public convincing them not to purchase Sony's next console. But, if they don't they are going to have to release a lot of good games this year and next year to keep the buyers on their side. What if they can't get the good games? Well, after reading IGN64.com's article on Nintendo's next system (it is pretty much as good as it gets), it should keep all buyers on Nintendo's side. When the Playstation 2 is released, I know most gamerz are going to flock to it, going all gaw gaw for its superior graphics and Sega will once again lose. But, Nintendo will slowly lose its buyers too! I mean, no one wants (well, maybe I do, and a few of us gamerz too!) to keep a dated 64-bit console when they can get their grummy hands on Sony's masterpiece. While the dedicated gamerz on the side of Nintendo will stay with the 64 clinging to all the games, the others will ditch it and Nintendo's 64-bit system will be another old system. Even if it does have its great games (The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Banjo:Kazooie, Turok 2, Rogue Squadron). I guess gaming these days is not about ingenuity, gameplay or overall funnest, it's all about graphics, and that's what I think is going to kill N64 and Sega's Dreamcast. I just cannot wait until the so-called Playstation 2 lovers see the N200X's pics. It will be hilarious.

Now, if Nintendo were to release its new system tomorrow or today, Sony PSX 2 would be forgotten about. Now, it's not like I want that to happen. I want to let Nintendo have all the time they need to make the "Dream Machine". I found it strange though. After reading SGM's rumors, I figured they had brought up an interesting point. How the hell did Sony bring those movies out so quickly???? I mean, they wouldn't be able to have those movies so soon if they had just recently started the project.

Perfect Dark, a title which almost every "normal" gamer will purchase. But if the PSX 2 is released before it, Rare's sales could fall drastically. All I'm saying is that PSX 2 is going to suck compared to Nintendo's next console for two reasons:

If you want to ditch Nintendo for the weak Playstation 2 (which really isn't weak) then so be it. But if you want to stay where all the action is, wait with Nintendo, they are sure to have somethin cookin'!
