Mario Party is a muliplayer game to the teeth. So, if you have no friends, or all your friends suck at video games, then do not get this game. You would be bored out of your skull playing alone. On this 256 bit cartridge Nintendo fit a total of 56 mini games for your enjoyment. Some of them really do suck. Most of them kick serious ass. The game is basically a board game with players taking turns and moving alone encountering traps and mini games. There are 8 boards including the 2 hidden ones, and the game saves on the cartride, no memory packs here.

Graphics- The games graphics have some great spots in the mini games. And then some of the spots are very bland, like the utmost minimum (bob sled game, anyone) The boards are very detailed, pre rendered like Yoshis Story.Nothing super spectacular though.

Gameplay- This game makes no leaps in gameplay, at all. But the simpliness is needed for the variety, so everyone can learn the mini games at the same speed. In all it works quite well. All the button mashing can take a toll on your controllers, so you better be using Nintendo brand or they will most likely wear down. The game is based on luck as much as on skill, making it more appealing for the gamers that are not so good, and pissing off the great gamers who always win. But again its all so it works for 4 people.

Sound- Using a lot of the classic Mario tunes is a nice touch to the game. It brings back the old days. They have some nice touches with the mascots saying their signature lines and yelps. Once again, Nothing is brand spanking new or spectacular, but it works.

Replay Value- If you have friends, you will be playing this game until Perfect Dark's multiplayer comes along. If you play this game only in one player mode, it will become boring much much faster. So to warrant this game, you need people to play with.

My Personal Thoughts- I this game is really cool. Its a blast to whip your friends all the time, but it makes it more exciting when you get into last place beyond your control and have to get back into first. If you dont like randomeness, luck playing a big roll, or friends, then do not get this game. Otherwise, all should apply.
