Castlevania

Castlevania the 3d update of the game of the same name, is a worthy edition to the series. Its the 14th title in the franchise to date, and although it is not the best, it is well worth playing. You control one of two characters, Carrie Fernadez or Reinhardt Schneider. The characters provide some variety in the game, because the game is a little shorter then a normal game. Each have their own unique attacks. This game is an above average 3d platformer set in Castlevania world.

Graphics- The graphics are brooding and moody. They fit the game very well. Sometimes the backgrounds are very detailed and inticrate. Sometimes the graphics suck horribly. Its overall a little above average.

Gameplay- The gameplay is very slippery. It takes time. In the first fewing jumping intensify areas i died a lot of times. The diffent characters add some variety, but not much.Locking onto enemies is mostly useless, it doesnt work very well, especially after being used to locking on to enemies through Zelda, which was great. Also, the camera is a pain in the ass to use.

Sound- This is where the game shines. The music is very atmospheric, fitting the game perfectly. It has a lot of bass into it too. Unfortuneatley the music gets a little repetitive. The sounds are great too, fitting everything that they describe.

Replay Value- This game really doesnt have much. If you buy it, most people could beat this game in a few days, and there really is no reason to go back after you beat it with both characters. I rented it and beat it. So most decent players should not buy it.

My Personal Thoughts- This is a decent game. I enjoyed it from the 2nd level on, and i didnt stop till it was beaten. Unfortunetley, the game doesnt offer anything new after you beat it. Also Carrie is better then Reinhardt, so they are unbalanced. (she has her like super shot)
